DEDICATED PROJECT ENGINEER
ADD PROJECT ENGINEERING CAPACITY
WITHOUT ADDING ANOTHER W-2
Your Project Manager should not have to personally carry every RFI, submittal, document revision, change item, meeting action and closeout requirement across the project.
With the Dedicated Project Engineer service, RPE assigns a Project Engineer to work continuously behind your PM and Superintendent — learning the project, maintaining the records, following open items and staying involved as the job moves forward.
This is not task-by-task support. Your assigned Project Engineer becomes the consistent back-office extension of your project team.
Your team runs the project. Your RPE Project Engineer stays behind it every day.
YOU LEAD THE PROJECT
WE GIVE YOU THE PROJECT ENGINEER BEHIND IT
Projects move faster when the same person knows the history, understands the open issues and follows the paperwork from one decision to the next.
Your dedicated RPE Project Engineer stays involved throughout the engagement — maintaining continuity, following unresolved items and keeping the administrative side of the project from falling back onto your PM.
ONE ENGINEER. ONE PROJECT. CONTINUOUS FOLLOW-THROUGH.
Instead of re-explaining the job every time something comes up, your PM has one consistent back-office point of support who can pick up the next RFI, revision, change item, meeting action or closeout requirement without starting from zero.
Less handoff. Less lost context. More continuity behind the project.
ONE PROJECT ENGINEER FOLLOWING YOUR PROJECT
Instead of handing individual administrative tasks to different people, you have one assigned RPE Project Engineer who understands the project history, current priorities, outstanding items and documentation systems.
They remain involved throughout the engagement — maintaining continuity between your Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, vendors and project records.
You keep project authority. We provide the dedicated Project Engineer behind it.

PRACTICAL PROJECT ENGINEERING SUPPORT
HELPING YOUR PROJECT STAY ORGANIZED, COORDINATED AND MOVING FROM STARTUP THROUGH CLOSEOUT.
HOW THE SUPPORT WORKS
PROJECT ENGINEERING SUPPORTFROM STARTUP TO CLOSEOUT
Remote Project Engineer works behind your Project Manager and Superintendent to manage the administrative and project-engineering workload that keeps information moving, open items visible and the project team organized.

GET THE PAPERWORK OFF YOUR PM’S DESK
Your Project Manager should be managing cost, schedule, subcontractors and field coordination—not spending hours building logs, chasing vendors and tracking approvals. RPE takes over the administrative workload behind the submittal process, keeps packages moving and maintains a controlled record through final approval. Our Submittal Management service gives your PM visibility without forcing them to personally manage every package, revision and overdue response.

TURN FIELD QUESTIONS INTO CONTROLLED ANSWERS
Field issues happen fast. The Superintendent may have a photo, a marked-up drawing or a two-line explanation of the problem, but somebody still has to turn that information into a clear, professional record. RPE supports the process through RFI Management—drafting formal RFIs from raw field information, organizing supporting documents, maintaining the RFI log, tracking responses and making sure approved answers get back to the people who need them.

KEEP EVERYONE WORKING FROM THE RIGHT REVISION
One outdated drawing can create rework, disputes and unnecessary change orders. RPE helps control the flow of revised project information through Document Revision Control. We identify what changed, maintain the current record, archive superseded documents, update revision logs and issue targeted transmittals to affected trades. Your field team has a clearer source of truth, and your PM has a traceable record showing what was issued, when it changed and who received it.

KEEP CHANGES FROM DISAPPEARING INTO EMAIL
Changes are easy to identify and surprisingly easy to lose. RPE helps keep the commercial paperwork behind those changes organized through Change Order Control. We open and maintain PCO records, issue RFQs, collect subcontractor and vendor pricing, organize supporting documentation and assemble complete change-order packages for Project Manager review. Your PM keeps control of pricing strategy and owner negotiations while RPE keeps the supporting record moving and properly documented.

GET THE WORK READY BEFORE THE CREW IS WAITING
A crew should not discover missing approvals, outdated drawings or unresolved RFIs after manpower and equipment are already mobilized. Through Work Plan Support & Control, RPE helps assemble the current drawings, approved submittals, governing RFIs, project requirements and field-provided sequence into a controlled work-plan package. We identify administrative gaps, maintain revision status and keep the package current while your Superintendent and PM retain full control of means, methods and field execution.

START CLOSEOUT BEFORE THE PROJECT IS OVER
Closeout should not begin during the final two weeks of the job. RPE helps build and maintain the closeout process throughout construction through Closeout Documentation & Control. We establish the closeout matrix, pursue subcontractors and vendors for required O&Ms, warranties, certifications and turnover documents, audit incoming records and assemble the final package for Project Manager review. The result is fewer missing documents, fewer last-minute scrambles and a cleaner path to final turnover.

STILL HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT PROJECT ENGINEERING SUPPORT?
HERE ARE THE STRAIGHT ANSWERS BEFORE YOU PUT RPE TO WORK BEHIND YOUR PROJECT TEAM.
YOU'VE MADE IT THIS FAR | YOU PROBABLY HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS
If you’re considering outside Project Engineering Support, you probably want to know exactly what RPE handles, how we work with your team and where our responsibility ends. Here are the straight answers.
What exactly does Remote Project Engineer handle with construction submittals?
Project Engineering Support includes six defined services: Submittal Management, RFI Management, Document Revision Control, Change Order Control, Work Plan Support & Control, and Closeout Documentation & Control. RPE works behind your Project Manager and Superintendent to administer these processes while your team remains in control of the project.
How does RPE handle RFIs?
There are two ways to work with us. Send us a completed RFI and we will number, log, track and maintain the record. Or send us the raw field issue — notes, photos, marked-up drawings or a Superintendent explanation — and RPE can draft the formal RFI package for your PM’s review before submission.
What does Document Revision Control mean?
When revised drawings, ASIs, bulletins or other project documents are issued, RPE identifies what changed, updates the controlled project record, archives superseded versions, maintains revision logs and prepares targeted transmittals so affected trades receive the current information.
What does RPE do with change orders?
RPE supports the administrative process behind the change. We can open and maintain PCO records, issue RFQs, collect subcontractor and vendor pricing, organize backup documentation and assemble complete change-order packages for your Project Manager to review and submit.
Can RPE help prepare work plans?
Yes. When your contractor uses formal work plans, RPE can assemble the controlled package using the field team’s sequence together with current drawings, approved submittals, governing RFIs and project requirements. Your PM and Superintendent retain control of means, methods, manpower, equipment and field execution.
What does RPE handle during project closeout?
RPE can build and maintain the closeout matrix, pursue subcontractors and vendors for required O&Ms, warranties, certifications and turnover documents, review incoming documentation for completeness and assemble the final closeout package for your Project Manager.
Will my project have its own email and communication record?
Yes. Every RPE project is assigned a unique project number and dedicated project email address under Remote Project Engineer. Vendor requests, follow-ups, commitments and responses are documented against that project so your PM has a searchable communication history—not a pile of disconnected emails. Your PM can remain copied on correspondence, and RPE maintains the accountability trail behind the scenes. Your project gets its own organized communication channel from day one.
Can RPE work inside Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud?
Yes. RPE can work within your approved project platform when access is provided. If you do not have a formal project-management system, we can operate the administrative workflow through our controlled RPE system and maintain the required project records for you.
Will my Project Manager still have visibility and control?
Absolutely. RPE does not replace your PM or Superintendent. Your team retains project authority, field control, commercial decisions, means and methods and client relationships. We manage the project-engineering processes behind them.
Does RPE communicate directly with my Architect or Owner?
Not unless your company specifically authorizes that arrangement. Our standard model is to work behind your contractor team. We prepare, organize and track the documentation; your Project Manager maintains the official client-facing relationship and approvals.
Can RPE communicate with subcontractors and vendors?
Yes, when authorized by your company. RPE can request submittals, RFQ pricing, closeout documents, product information, certifications and other project documentation, and can follow up on outstanding administrative requirements.
What does Project Engineering Support cost?
Project Engineering Support is $1,000 per week with a 12-week minimum commitment — $12,000 to start for one project. The initial 12-week service period is paid before project mobilization.
What does RPE NOT do remotely?
RPE does not supervise crews, perform physical inspections, make independent engineering decisions, certify installations, determine field means and methods or take over your contractor’s relationship with the Owner or design team. We manage the project-engineering workload that can be performed effectively from the back office.
Will RPE branding appear on my customer-facing submittals?
Only where you want it. RPE may use an internal coversheet and Project Engineer Summary while we process the package, but we can prepare final submissions using your company’s coversheet, naming convention and project templates. If you want RPE invisible to the owner or design team, we can operate as a white-label extension of your company. Your customer sees your company. RPE handles the work behind it.
